NEW TO CHURCH?

Here's what you can expect from one of our Sunday services.

People start to arrive from about 15 minutes before, but if you're running a bit late don't worry, it's a very relaxed atmosphere and you can sneak in up the back. You will be welcomed at the entrance by some of our volunteers. They will give you a service booklet and be able to answer any questions. Services last for 60-70 minutes and include singing, prayer, Bible reading, a sermon, community updates, and communion. The sermons are based on Bible passages or themes that are usually grouped in series. Occasionally we incorporate more creative forms of worship that help us to engage with the teaching ideas and worship with all our senses. After the service, tea and coffee and a light morning tea are served and there is time to chat and get to know people within the community.

We'd love for you to join us for a Sunday service:

  •      10am at Clifton Hill Primary School, 185 Gold Street, Clifton Hill

  •      11am at Fairfield. St Paul's Church, 88a Station Street, Fairfield

At Merri Creek Anglican a Kids’ Program meets at the same time as the Sunday Service. During an early part of the Service, usually during a song, parents may bring their children to the library upstairs. There are two aged-based groups:

  • Pre-school (age 1-5 yrs)

  • School age (prep to Grade 6)

During group time, kids explore themes of Bible teaching in fun and interactive ways.

YOUTH

Merri Creek Anglican is involved with the Inner North Youth Group.

Bringing together youth from multiple different congregations, Inner North Youth group is a Christian youth group that meets at St John's West Brunswick on Friday nights for fun, food and activities to help young people grow in their faith in Jesus. On Sunday mornings, youth meet with our great youth leaders after the sermon to talk about what they heard.
